Who We Are
Love Hopes Anchor
Yesenia Aguirre - President
Ms. Yesenia Aguirre, an educator, and a native New Yorker,
currently resides in Huntington, New York. Yesenia was born of immigrant parents of both the Caribbean and South America.
Yesenia received her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY College at Cortland in Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in Outdoor Education.
Throughout her undergraduate college life she had taken up various student organization leadership positions. She was adamant that her key to economic freedom would be in education and with her bilingual talent that would seal her marketability in the workforce.
Becoming a Christian in January 2000 enhanced her enthusiasm for teaching the Word of God. Her love for children and education presented one of many opportunities for Yesenia to serve as the Children's Ministry Director and Women's Ministry Leader in Huntington, New York. Finally, she serves as a host group leader at her home in Long Island, NY.
Yesenia’s desire to know more about and be a blessing within the health field began right before she attended State University of New York at Stony Brook and received her Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and Public Policy. After serving in the long-term care career for 7 years and recognizing her passion for youth education, she chose to continue her post-graduate education. In May of 2009 she obtained her Master of Arts degree in Childhood Education from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
Lastly, Yesenia continues to answer her calling to teach children and adults. She currently teaches for the Wyandanch School District, however has also taught in Hempstead, Westbury and Brooklyn, New York. Her knowledge, experience, leadership skills and level of empathy continue to shine in both her vocational career and her desire to see underprivileged youth in Ecuador receive the best in education and their human basic needs being met. Yesenia has observed through research, the desire of this culture in Ecuador to aspire to more than who they are currently, as it pertains to their educational and economic development. She is eager and well-prepared to be the vehicle to create this opportunity including goals to start a state of the art school for middle and high school youth. Hence, her desire to become the founder of Love Hope’s Anchor Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is invested in the Educational and Economic development of orphaned and fatherless children/youth living in impoverished areas.
Yesenia Aguirre, an innovator, educator and leader of the destiny of youth on the rise to higher education. Her strength, mission and endurance consistently overshadow her life-changing journey. A professional with a love for Christ, a heart for education and guidance
for tomorrow’s future, our children.
